Workshop
05 Oct 24
13:00 — 16:00
Autograph invites you to a relaxed, family-friendly workshop at their gallery in Shoreditch, focused on the creation and preservation of family photographs and personal archives.
Rooted in their mission to champion artists who address issues of race, representation, human rights, and social justice through photography and film, this event highlights the importance of documenting personal and shared histories.
Led by artist and archivist Cassia Clarke, and inspired by own her efforts to rescue her family photographs from storage – the workshop offers a creative and meaningful exploration of memory and heritage. Attendees of all ages can engage in a range of activities, from recreating family photos with an instant camera to learning simple archival techniques for preserving images for future generations.
In addition to the practical workshop, participants can take part in a scavenger hunt through Autograph’s galleries, deepening their understanding of the current exhibitions.
The event runs from 1pm to 4pm, with the last entry at 3:30pm. Autograph encourages booking ahead to secure a time slot.
