Marking the 25th Anniversary of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement, the Ulster Museum collaborates with the Belfast Photo Festival – Presenting a newly commission collection by the acclaimed photographer Hannah Starkey.

This collection is dedicated to honouring the pivotal role of women in bringing peace to both Northern Ireland and across the globe.

Research shows that women’s involvement in peace processes contribute to more enduring and steadfast harmony. As a reflection of this. Starkey’s art aims to initiate a dialogue around the profound influence and significance of women’s leadership.

Through these 21 powerful portraits, you can learn more about some of the women who have played essential roles in peace-building and community activism across Ireland, and reflect on a global community of women who continue to make an impact across political, cultural and social sphere.
