Explore the evolving nature of sibling relationships in Jane Glynn’s exhibition, Little Brother and Little Sister: What If, As If, and If Only, at the Broadway Gallery. Drawing inspiration from the Grimm Brothers’ fairytale, Glynn presents a series of paintings and short animations that delve into themes of care, transformation, hardship, loyalty, and the passage of time.

The artworks feature figures symbolising the fluidity of family life – growth, loss, and the interplay between past and present. Landscapes, influenced by Glynn’s daily walks through the Hertfordshire countryside, mirror the transformation of memories over time. Set in the late 1700s, the pieces are informed by Glynn’s family history and local surroundings.

Rather than providing a linear storyline, each painting and animation stands alone, capturing moments that invite viewers to bring their own interpretations.
