Long Life, Low Energy: Designing for a Circular Economy launches at RIBA North, Mann Island, marking a new collaboration between Tate Liverpool and Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
With a focus on art, architecture and ecology, these two bodies draw from their combined collections to offer a body of temporary exhibitions, family activities, public talks and events that both inspire and challenge.
As Tate Liverpool undergoes a transformation to its Victorian warehouse home, Long Life, Low Energy reveals how architects and designers are innovating to reuse and repurpose anything from small materials to whole buildings. It teaches us how we might look to the technologies of the future to navigate the climate emergency today.
Visit the first exhibition in this programme, and consider how the design, construction, maintenance, and demolition of buildings is vital in the journey towards a global reduction of carbon emissions.
