Marcia Michael presents a powerful and moving solo exhibition, The Family Album, at Midlands Arts Centre. As a multidisciplinary artist of Caribbean descent, Michael reimagines the family album to explore the beauty and depth of Black family connections in British history.

Through her evocative works in ‘The Study of Kin,’ ‘The Family Album,’ and ‘The Object of my Gaze,’ she captures intimate family moments, challenging stereotypes and celebrating Black love and identity. The exhibition features stunning photographs, sculptures, and archival imagery, inviting visitors to reflect on their own family histories.
