Visit Kettle’s Yard and discover Lili Brik by Mari Mahr, an exhibition of photographic works made in 1982. The series is inspired by Lili Brik, a Russian artist and author known for her role in the avant-garde movement. Curated by Inga Fraser, the exhibition brings together images that explore memory, family connections, and artistic legacy.

Mahr’s unique approach involves combining old photographs as backdrops with everyday objects arranged in her studio. The result is a series of images that challenge the viewer’s sense of scale and perspective. The photographs include portraits of Mahr’s mother and grandmother, reflecting the themes of family and memory.

Mari Mahr, born in Chile and based in London, has exhibited internationally and is known for her thoughtful and layered photographic works. This exhibition offers a glimpse into her creative process and her reflections on the past.

Accessibility:
