Zvakazarurwa marks Zimbabwean artist Portia Zvavahera’s first solo exhibition at a public gallery in Europe.

This vivid collection, showcasing new and recent works, fuses southern African cultural heritage, Christian iconography, traditional European painting, and African printmaking. Each piece weaves a story of personal dreams and spiritual traditions rooted in Zvavahera’s childhood.

These deeply intimate, semi-autobiographical creations bring together layers of colour and texture, crafted through intricate techniques like batik stencilling, block-printing, drawing, and painting with ink.  Experience the rich and varied landscape that shapes her art.
