Titled after the Akan Adinkra symbol for a double-skin talking drum, Dono builds on the artists’ shared exploration of sound and communication. Curated by Jareh Das and initiated by Somerset House Studios, the exhibition brings resident artists Boakye-Yiadom and Morrison into dialogue as they investigate the intersections of music, language, and architecture, challenging the boundaries of meaning-making.

Dono experiments with alternative forms of communication, exploring the generative possibilities of repetition, concealment, and misunderstanding. The exhibition acts as both a testing ground and rehearsal space, examining how physical spaces and institutional structures influence language, music, and social interaction.
