As part of the Sainsbury Centre’s new season ‘Planet for our Future: How do we adapt to a Transforming World?’,  ‘The Stuff of Life | The Life of Stuff’ invites us to rethink our connection with ephemeral synthetic materials and mass-produced goods.

Featuring a collection of art pieces crafted from reclaimed materials, reconstituted fragments, and electronic waste, It prompting us to question who bears responsibility for the rampant consumption, excessive production, and burgeoning waste in contemporary society.

Visitors will journey through newly envisioned environmental spaces where synthetic and natural elements merge.

These unique, hybrid art forms are alive with stories that trace back to the origins of the materials they are made from, intimately linking them to the fabric of our reality and the essence of our everyday surroundings.

These works showcase the extraordinary capacity of human creativity to reshape our interactions with the Earth and inspire a proactive stance towards shaping a sustainable and shared future.
