Explore the intersection of art and artificial intelligence in Paul Stuart’s debut solo exhibition, Your Earliest Memory is the Oldest Part of You.

This collection examines how AI influences our interactions with images, sound, and text. Stuart contrasts expressive, imperfect portraits of human subjects with a photorealistic painting titled Portrait of NO1 – and AI portrait of himself. This juxtaposition invites viewers to reflect on authenticity, creativity, and the evolving relationship between humans and machines.

Paul Stuart (b. 1985, St Albans) is a Hertfordshire-based artist focusing on portraits and figurative art. His work explores human emotions through mixed media, digital, and moving images. He studied at Leeds Beckett University and Middlesex University, drawing inspiration from various figurative and abstract artists. Recent achievements include winning a bursary leading to this exhibition, being longlisted for the BEEP Painting Prize 2024, and selection for the Works on Paper Exhibition 2024 in London.
