Bamboo, an incredibly sustainable and strong material, is ingeniously utilised in twenty residential designs worldwide, showcased in Bamboo Contemporary. Changing the materials we use in construction, such as adopting rapidly-growing, steel-strength bamboo, can help combat climate change. Although bamboo residential design is gradually gaining popularity in the US, it’s already employed globally. This inspiring collection features residences from China to the Netherlands and includes three budding US projects. It’s enriched with project narratives, architectural drawings, photos, and a detailed appendix on the diverse uses of this versatile plant.
